1. You can learn at your own pace. In group classes, the instructor has to pace the class for the majority which may be too fast or too slow for you.
2. You benefit from the undivided attention of your instructor and spend the entire time working on exactly what you need, not what others need.
3. Whether or not you have a partner, your teacher will dance with you frequently. He or she will be able to key into your specific weakness by feeling how you move and will be better able to zero in on the technique you need to work on.
4. You are less apt to develop bad habits, habits that quietly develop in group classes because you don't have the benefit of a private instructor's watchful eye.
5. Private lessons are just that – private. If you're too shy to join a class because you don't want anyone to know that you have two left feet, after a few private lessons you'll be able to trade in one of those left feet for a right one. We keep an unending supply in the studio.
6. Because of the personal attention, private lessons are the quickest way to advance. 

          Different schools offer different dance programs. They could be private lessons, group lessons, or a combination of both. For those who just want to learn the casual steps or get to know the dances, group lessons would be adequate (and lots of fun). For example, if I'd like to learn a few Western dances to use during Calgary Stampede, I'll sign up for free group lessons offered by various country bars, rather than using my valuable private lessons on something I only use once a year. For those who would like to take their dancing a bit more serious, a proper dance program with private lessons is necessary. It all depends on what you want out of your dancing. If you would like to be the best that you can be, come try the best. You are going to love dancing with us.

Learn to Dance:
Dancing is fun! And the more you come dancing, the more you like it! It’s addictive, but in a good way.
Recent studies have proven that dancing is good for your health. Dancing engages all of your body parts in a low-impact activity. But, don’t think it’s a lightweight activity, you get a terrific cardio-vascular aerobic workout, and learning dance steps helps improve memory. The physical activity of dancing is good for heart & pulmonary health, blood pressure, diabetes, arthritis, weight loss, positive attitude & improved disposition.  Keeping your body & joints active, especially as we all age, is vital to a long and active life.  A side benefit of learning to dance is that you smile more because it’s a great, fun social outlet. Great social outlet indeed. You may meet your Future Significant Other while Dancing (like Edyta and Alec & Karina and Maksim on Dancing with the Stars). I guess it is only natural as we pair up singles and rotate partners during our group lessons and parties, compatible people will naturally find each other in a comfortable, non-threatening environment.
